Why do we have an event site?
While we love our name and it’s great for Search Engine Optimization, but it’s a little long for online advertising. Longer domain names are hard to remember and even one that makes sense, like whyaboutmarketing, can be the source of typographical errors.
People forget your domain or they mistype and can’t get to where they want to go. Not a great situation. Online marketers must be memorable and easy to find.
When the .co domains appeared, we jumped right on the bandwagon and bought whyabout.co (and others) to use for instances just like this, where we want to advertise our events, but don’t want our audience to type in a longer domain name.
Our shorter URL is easier to remember and still holds true to our brand.
